When you know in your heart it’s time to transform your one and only body, here’s the best advice I can give you:
Do it right, or don’t do it at all.
Why such a harsh approach?
Because even though it only works ONE WAY, the list of things that cause failure are endless. And what do people do when they fail at something?
Usually they give up, never to try again.
When it comes to something so important as your health, giving up is the worst thing you can possibly do.
So don’t go about it wrong.
Don’t buy diet products or processed health foods. Don’t buy worthless fitness gizmos.
There’s SO many issues here. Your precious health. How long you will live. Your appearance and self esteem. Quality time with friends and family. More energy for productive work and play.
The benefits are endless, and you know it.
Your future is too important to go about this wrong- and then give up because you attempted the impossible.
With just some honest persistence, it’s possible to discover how to transform your body in just minutes a day. Or you can try all the endless shortcuts- and fail- because you didn’t do it right.
After thirty years of failure, I didn’t succeed because I suddenly became smarter. I succeeded because I stopped buying useless products to help me, I did my homework, and I went about it right.
A calorie deficit is the only thing that will EVER work. That means you can eat fewer calories, get more active, or do both.
Anything that doesn’t help you do that- in a way you can live with- will not work. That includes every weight loss tea, berry, patch, pill, lotion, herb, juice, cookie, sprinkle, body wrap, sweat suit, fad diet, ab blaster… whatever.
Despite what the advertising says, no product can create a calorie deficit for you. Meaning you won’t be doing it right, you will fail, and you’ll give up- and not because you’re not sincere, because you’re attempting the impossible.
Or you can say to yourself “I’m going to do it right. I’m going to learn what’s actually healthy to eat. I’m going to get active in a way that fits my life. And I’m not going to give up.”
Now you’re doing it right. Now you will succeed in the fastest and easiest way possible.
Not because you discovered any hidden secrets.
Because you did nothing more than treat your body the way it was designed and created to be treated.
You did it right. And it worked.
I urge you, wipe your mental slate clean. Forget everything you’ve been told about anti-oxidants, calories, saturated fats, MUFA’s, ketosis… whatever.
Now, whenever you get hungry, eat natural food. [This does NOT include “health foods” sold by food processing companies. Most “healthy” soy, yogurt, cereal, granola bars- and a very long list of other factory made products- are not health foods.]
Whenever you get thirsty, drink water or unsweetened tea. [Sport drinks, energy drinks, diet sodas, fruit juices, etc- are not health foods.]
What natural foods you eat- especially at first- doesn’t matter. What matters is you are learning how to do it right. Meaning you are acknowledging eating natural food is CRITICAL to transforming your body- and five or six times a day that’s what you eat.
Then once a day do something physical. [You don’t have to kill yourself. You burn around the same amount of calories walking a mile as you do running a mile. It just takes longer to walk it.]
What you do for activity- especially at first- doesn’t matter. What matters is you are learning how to do it right. Meaning you acknowledge physical activity is CRITICAL- and once a day you do something.
Over time you can refine your food choices and what exercises you do.
Don’t worry about the specifics, I repeat, refine those over time. What’s critical is you focus on the true crux of the issue.
What you eat and how active you are.
This next part is where success and failure rest:
Very quickly you’ll find out what your individual barriers are [the unique and individual mental “issues” that will try and stop you from doing it right].
When your barriers arise [and they will on day one] doing it right means focusing on your individual barriers- and addressing them- not avoiding them.
If you’re like most of us, it’s going to take time to learn how to ignore all the processed foods that are in your face 24/7.
It’s going to take time to learn how to ignore all the temptations and distractions that want to command your time so there’s no time left to go for a walk.
This is why transforming your body, life, and future is a mental issue, not a physical one.
So start out mentally determined to do it right. So it can work. So you will see and feel the amazing and endless benefits quickly as possible.
So you become the one in control of your life, not others, not circumstances.
Yes. it can become that simple- and yes, it takes effort to make things simple.
But go about it right and it WILL work. Acknowledge reality. Get started and then define and improve as you go along.
Know that with nothing more than honest persistence, the pieces will fall into place and before you know it- your new body, life, and future will make their appearance.
To your health and success, and may God bless,
Michael
